The employees of the Central Criminal Police, Patrol Police, Tbilisi, Adjara, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Imereti and Mtskheta-Mtianeti police departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the General Prosecutor's Office, as a result of recent operational measures and investigative actions, arrested 19 people on charges of drug crimes, including 6 drug dealers.
Both Georgian and foreign citizens are detained.
Arrested for the facts of selling, attempted selling and preparation of sale of a large and particularly large amount of narcotic drugs are the following persons: T.A., born in 1991, GG, born in 1964, M.J., born in 1983, convicted in the past. and K.K., born in 1975, as well as foreign citizens: Sh.E., born in 1997. and born in 1989.
Arrested for illegal purchase and storage of large and especially large quantities of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and narcotic drug "Marijuana", illegal planting and cultivation of plants containing narcotic drugs are the following persons: B.I., born in 1988, L., born in 1976. N., born in 2001 K.K., born in 2001 M.S. and persons convicted in the past: M.V. born in 1983, I.B. born in 1991, L.M. born in 1984, as well as foreign citizens: M.M. born in 2001; Born in 1980 in OK; Born in 1999, E. A., born in 1992 A.Kh., born in 2003 N.M., born in 1990 H.C.
The crimes are punishable up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
On the basis of the judge's ruling, the police made control purchases of drugs from persons arrested on charges of illegal possession of drugs several times and secretly audio-video recorded these purchases.
During the personal search and search activities held in residences of persons arrested on drug charges, the law enforcement officers also found a large amount of narcotic drugs from the locations indicated by them, including: "Heroin", "Cocaine", "MDMA", "Pregabalin", "Methadone", "Alpha". PVP", "Buprenorphine", "Mepamphetamine", "Marijuana" and "Lyrica" were seized.
As a result of the investigative actions, the money obtained from the sale of drugs, adhesive tapes and electric scales were seized by the police as evidence.
The investigation is being conducted under articles 260, 261, 265, 18-260, 19-260 and 273 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
