The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-searching and investigative activities detained G.G. (DoB: 1963) for premeditated murder and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms. The crime committed by him envisages imprisonment from 4 to 15 years in length.
The investigation established that G.G. fatally wounded by shooting from the automatic firearm his relative R.G. (DoB: 1964) and managed to escape from the scene. R.G. died on the crime scene.
The investigation established that R.G. owed 7000 US dollars to the offender and could not pay.
As a result of operative and investigative activities the law enforcers detained G.G. in several hours after the incident in his own house in the village Kazreti. The police seized the weapon of crime as a material evidence.
The investigation is in progress on the fact of premeditated murder and illegal purchase, keeping and carrying of firearms (Article 108 and parts 2 and 3 of the Article 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia).
