Within the framework of the information and awareness campaign of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - "Befriend the Police", meetings in schools continue.
This time, the representatives of the Ministry met with up to 700 high school students in 11 different schools of Didube-Chugureti district, Tbilisi.
The aim of informational meetings is to raise awareness among schoolchildren on public safety and law and order, as well as prevention of crimes committed by minors and against them.
Patrol police officers talked to the children on topics related to traffic safety rules and explained the purpose of various traffic signs. The law enforcement officers provided information to the teenagers on various relevant topics related to law and order, including children's rights, early marriage and its harm, bullying, violence, organized crime trends - trafficking, cybercrime, "thief" mentality and drug-related crime.
At the meetings, the representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs presented videos on traffic safety and organized crime, and provided answers to the students' questions.
