Fire that broke out in the "Ambassador" hotel in Tbilisi has been extinguished. 16 fire-rescue crews of the Emergency Situations Management Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs worked on the spot.
Firefighters arrived at the scene immediately after the fire was reported and started fire-extinguishing works.
"At the moment, the fire has been completely extinguished. 16 fire crews were mobilized on the spot, the quick and operative action of the firemen enabled us to localize the fire timely and then extinguish it. There was a danger of fire to spread to other building on the side, which was prevented by the firemen." - stated the head of Emergency Situations Management Service, Teimuraz Mgebrishvili.
The investigation into the incident was launched under Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
