Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri held work meeting with the leadership of the structural units of Tbilisi Police Department. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Vladimer Bortsvadze and Director of Tbilisi Police Department, Shalva Bedoidze.
During the meeting Minister reviewed priority directions of the Agency. The process of the structural and functional improvement is actively being implemented at Tbilisi Police Department. The fields of community-oriented policing have been expanded as well. Investigative, community and operative lines have already been separated at the Department.
Vakhtang Gomelauri received detailed information from the heads of Tbilisi police units on the fight against crime in the capital and preventive police measures implemented in this regard.
Minister of Internal Affairs gave respective instructions to the leadership of Tbilisi Police Department units.
