Withing the framework of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) visit on 3-4 October in Batumi, the regional security briefing was held. The Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri addressed the participants and discussed the current security related issues in the region.
The Deputy Secretary General, Rose Gottemoeller together with Permanent Representatives of the 29 Member States of the Alliance participated in the meeting.
In his address, the Head of Georgian Border Police, Temur Kekelidze, presented the tools of practical cooperation between NATO and Georgia in the context of Black Sea security.
The briefing is a distinct opportunity for NATO and Georgia, as a reliable partner country of the Alliance, to exchange information on regional security and discuss issues of future cooperation.
