Vakhtang Gomelauri, the Minister of Internal Affairs, participated in the meeting of the NATO-Georgia Commission chaired by the Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia and the NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller.
The meeting was held within the framework of the North Atlantic Council (NAC) visit to Georgia. The participants discussed the main directions of NATO-Georgia cooperation. The parties paid particular attention to the significance of ensuring the Black Sea security and NATO-Georgia practical cooperation in this regard.
Georgia is hosting the North Atlantic Council for the fifth time, which is a clear evidence of the deepening of relations and active cooperation between Georgia and the Alliance. The NATO delegation includes the Permanent Representatives of the 29 member states of the Alliance. The delegation is headed by NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller.
