Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze, held a working meeting with the Country Representative of UN Women Georgia, Kaori Ishikawa.
The parties discussed achieved milestones as well as existing cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the UN Women. Aleksandre Darakhvelidze drew particular attention to the Ministry’s reforms with the engagement of UN Women, such as the amendments in the issuance of electronic surveillance, and other important issues.
During concluding remarks, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze expressed his gratitude to the UN Women for their support and contribution to the institutional development of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
UN Women has been cooperating with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for many years and contributes to the development of the Ministry's capabilities in various significant areas.
