The Department of Strategic Pipeline Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, along with "BP Georgia" and Maritime Transport Agency under the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development conducted a joint exercise on the perimeter of the Supsa oil terminal of Baku-Supsa pipeline. The training was aimed at improving the communication between the parties, actively using the existing procedures and instructions in practice, improving the skills of the employees and boosting the level of professionalism.
According to the practical training scenario, the video monitoring surveillance cameras were turned off in a certain section of the Supa terminal, and the silhouette of a person was recorded by other cameras. The relevant information was transferred to the Western Georgia Regional Division of the Department of Strategic Pipeline Protection. Based on the received information, the combat unit of the Department of Strategic Pipeline Protection acted in coordination with the employees of the relevant service of "BP Georgia". The purpose of the practical simulation was to train employees to respond to the breach incident quickly and in an organized manner.
The Department of Strategic Pipeline Protection of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and "BP Georgia" have been fruitfully cooperating for many years, significantly contributing to the active introduction of practical skills, the growth of coordination and effective communication.
