The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze held a meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the Deputy Chairperson of the Parliament of the Republic of Tajikistan, Dilrabo Mansuri paying working visit to Georgia.
The visit was conducted with the support of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The purpose of the visit is to share experience and best practices of Georgia on migration and asylum issues.
The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs introduced to the guests existing asylum system in Georgia in details, also talked about the challenges and reforms implemented in recent years related to the above-mentioned issues.
Dilrabo Mansuri expressed gratitude towards Georgian party for hosting the delegation and noted that it is essential for Tajik party to enhance cooperation with Georgia.
At the end of the meeting, Aleksandre Darakhvelidze expressed hope that the visit of the Tajik delegation to Georgia will be productive and expressed readiness to continue cooperation between the parties in various formats in the future.
