The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Giorgi Butkhuzi, opened a new police building in the village of Vaciani, Akhalkalaki Municipality. The Deputy Minister inspected the new police building and congratulated the employees on continuing their activities in the police building, constructed in line with modern standards.
Up to date, there was no police building in Vachiani village. Law enforcers employed in the mentioned police station will serve 19 villages of Akhalkalaki municipality and approximately 11,000 citizens.
The newly built building of modern standards is equipped with the latest inventory and equipment. The building has a workspace for detectives and investigators, rooms for questioning, identification and storage of evidence, as well as a rest room for employees and gym.
The building is adapted for people with special needs.
Within the frames of police infrastructure renovation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in order to improve the work environment of police officers and provide effective police services to citizens, a number of new buildings were built for the departments of the agency throughout Georgia in recent years.
According to the Prime Minister's decision, in order to create a decent work environment for police officers and improve social guarantees, the budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was increased. In coordination with the government, for the development of the infrastructure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, renovation of police buildings, construction-renovation of police bases, renewal of armaments and material-technical base are planned to be implemented. In order to further improve the quality of police services for the population and the work conditions for all employees, infrastructure projects will continue throughout the country.
