The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Aleksandre Darakhvelidze held a meeting with the chief ombudsman of the Republic of Trkiye - Seref Malkoc, who is visiting Georgia alongside delegation within the scope of an official working visit. The meeting held at the Ministry of Internal Affairs was also attended by the vice chair of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child - Sophio Kiladze.
The delegation also includes the Ombudsman of the Republic of Trkiye for Children's Rights and representatives of the Office of the Ombudsman, as well as representatives of the UNICEF.
Within the framework of the meeting, the Deputy Minister introduced the guests on the ongoing and implemented measures within the Ministry, which serve to ensure the effective protection of human rights, especially the children's rights. Aleksandre Darakhvelidze also highlighted the measures taken for the improvement of the quality of the investigation and discussed the mandate of the Human Rights Protection and Investigation Quality Monitoring Department.
At the end of the meeting, the members of the delegation expressed their gratitude for the fruitful meeting and noted that in terms of sharing information and experience, similar meetings in bilateral formats are particularly important for both sides.
