Within the framework of the project of the MIA Academy - “Public Lectures for the Students of the MIA Academy”, Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze delivered a public lecture for the students of the bachelor’s and master’s programs of the Academy.
The Chairman of the Parliament discussed the development history of constitutionalism in Georgia, a number of flaws of the constitution and the amendments to be introduced as well as the working principles and specifics of the constitutional commission.
The public lecture was delivered in an interactive discussion format. Irakli Kobakhidze answered the students’ questions thoroughly.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Shalva Khutsishvili, Rector of the MIA Academy Givi Mikanadze and professors/teachers attended the meeting along with the students of the Academy.
After the public lecture the Chairman of the Parliament was shown the facilities of the MIA Academy.
In the framework of the new project of the MIA Academy, public servants of the legal field, representatives of the academic community and highly-qualified lawyers give public lectures to the students of the Academy.
The above-mentioned project is aimed at motivating students and engaging them actively in the ongoing legislative processes.
