Minister of Internal Affairs Giorgi Mgebrishvili has held meeting at field operations center in Abastumani. At the meeting fire-liquidation works held in Borjomi-Kharagauli national park were assessed, discussed the work to be implemented over the next few days and developed a new plan for the division of forces.
At this moment fire in Borjomi-Kharagauli national park is fully localized. Fire prevention activities are carried out at the place currently. Despite bad weather conditions, not a single fire pocket has revived. During the night time period, minor smoke was observed at two locations, which were liquidated in the shortest period of time.
At this stage, MIA Emergency Situations Management Agency along with employees of Special Tasks Department remains at the place with special technic.
Two helicopters with 15 crew members arrived to Georgia from Iran today, who will be involved in fire liquidation works.
Field operations center and MIA units will remain at the site, till the fire is fully extinguished.
