The officers of Old Tbilisi division under Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search and investigative activities detained several times convicted in past, I.G. (DoB 1985) for theft.
The committed crime envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
Investigation established that detainee stole moped parked on Potskhverashvili Street, Tbilisi and fled from the place of crime.
Investigation also found out that with the last 2 weeks period, detainee stole two bicycles owned by Georgian citizens parked at various locations as well as two mopeds and additionally attempted to steal another moped.
As a result of investigative activities held by the law enforcers, two stolen mopeds were seized as evidence.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of stealing of the transport means, article 177, II part, sub-paragraph “A” and part III, sub-paragraph “D” envisaged by the Criminal Code.
