The officers of the Division for the Fight against Illegal Circulation of Drugs under the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operative-investigative activities, detained foreign citizen at Tbilisi International Airport. A.K. (DoB 1969) was taken under arrest for illegal purchase, keeping and illegal import of drugs in especially large quantities.
The committed crime envisages from 5 to 20 years of imprisonment.
As a result of the personal search, law enforcers seized 97 pills of “Subutex”, “buprenorphine” containing powder, 5 pills of the so called “ecstasy” and one package pf MDMA.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase, keeping and illegal import of drugs in especially large quantities, articles 260, III and VI part, sub-paragraph “A”, 262, I, II and IV parts, sub-paragraph “A” and article 273, II part envisaged by the criminal Code of Georgia.
