The employees of Dedoplistskaro district division of Kakheti Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of immediate operative-search measures and investigative activities, detained previously convicted D.K. (DoB 1965) for causing severe health damage on purpose.
The committed crime envisions from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that the accused person wounded his fellow villager - T.M. (DoB 1962), on the basis of conflict, in Dedoplistskaro municipality, and hid from the scene of the incident. The wounded man was taken to the hospital, where he is receiving appropriate medical treatment.
Police detained D.K. as a result of immediate police activities. Law enforcement officers seized the weapon of crime - a knife as evidence.
The investigation into the fact of inflicting serious damage to health on purpose is being conducted under Article 117, Part I of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
