The officers of Kvemo Kartli Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs detained I.K. (DoB 1995) as a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative activities for premeditated murder.
The committed crime envisions from 7 to 15 years of imprisonment.
The investigation established that on May 26 of the current year, in Gardabani municipality, I.K. and his fellow villager - R.M. (DoB 1992) under the influence of alcohol confronted each other verbally and physically, during which R.M. stabbed I.K with a knife. After the mentioned incident, I.K. took a knife from his car, wounded R.M. in belly area and fled the crime scene. The wounded R.M. was taken to the hospital however, he could not be saved.
As a result of operative-investigative measures and investigative activities, the police arrested I.K. the next day after the incident.
The fact of premeditated murder is being investigated under Article 108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
