Akhmeta regional police division received notification on domestic violence in Zemo Alvani village. Police officers came under fire from the side of Elizbar P. when they arrived at the place of the incident. As a result one of the law enforcers was wounded in chest and head areas. He was transferred to the hospital by the ambulance. At this moment his health condition is critical. Special Forces unit was also mobilized at the site. As a result of the successful operation the offender has been taken under arrest. Investigation is in progress on the fact of the attempted premeditated murder committed under aggravating circumstances, article 19-109, III part, sub-paragraph F of the Criminal Code.
