Shalva Enukidze -director of Information-analytical Department of MIA along with representatives of the same department attended 54th IPRM meeting held in Ergneti. Representatives of the central government raised several issues at the meeting: in particular sides discussed problems caused by the illegal process of installing barbed wires along the line of occupation and issues of the citizens’ safe movement. Sides also reviewed the issue of death of Davit Basharuli; de-facto authorities of Tskhinvali stated that investigation is completed; materials of expertise are attached to the investigation files which will be handed over to parents of the late Basharuli in two weeks.
At the meeting the issue of the persons lost in 2008 Russian-Georgian war period as well as the case of Roman Shitikov who also is missing were also outlined. In connection with the mentioned, it was agreed that at the next meeting Ossetian side would meet with those persons who are informed in the mentioned issue.
Sides also discussed the issues of toughening border regime by the de-facto authorities in connection with the upcoming plural capers harvesting season. The topic of the movement of the Russian heavy machinery along the line of occupation was discussed as well which poses danger to the safety and peace of the locals.
