Representatives of the International Relations Department, Central Criminal Police Department and the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia held a meeting with the Head of Operations of NCA, Mr. Mark Bishop and the Liaison Officer, Ms. Joanna Alexander. The interim meeting was held within the frames of the Georgian-British Bilateral Political Dialogue (Wardrop Dialogue).
Parties discussed ongoing cooperation in law enforcement field in particular, past and ongoing activities, including capacity building for police officers in specific fields of investigation. The parties also discussed cooperation perspectives in the field of coast guard.
It is worth mentioning that the Georgian-British Dialogue also involves cooperation in the field of Euro-Atlantic cooperation, economy and defense. Thematic group meetings were also held in respective Ministries. Thematic meetings were held separately in bilateral format at Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
