Officers of Tbilisi National Bureau of Interpol detained Turkish citizen Dogan Tuncay (19.02.1966) at “Tsiteli Khiti” customs who was heading to the direction of Azerbaijan. The mentioned person was wanted internationally by Turkish law enforcers from December 25, 2014 with the aim of his detention and further extradition.
Dogan Tuncay is accused under the article 227/2, 62/1 of the Turkish Criminal Code, which implies intermediation in prostitution. The detained person may face from 2 to 10 years of imprisonment for the committed crime.
At this moment Dogan Tuncay is placed in Kvemo Kartli Regional temporary detention center while pre-extradition procedures are in progress.
