The officers Ajara Regional Main Division as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained Besik M. on the fact of hooliganism committed in group.
Investigation established that on late at night on December 27 detainee and his accompanying individuals grossly violated public order and physically and verbally insulted person gathered in one of the clubs of Batumi. Investigation also established that Besik M. Accompanied person who inflicted lethal wound with a firearm to police officer of Batumi Police Main Division- Taarash M. who was not on duty that night.
Detainee has already pleaded guilty. Investigation is in progress on the fact of hooliganism grossly violating public order or demonstrates open contempt toward the public, committed under violence or threat of violence with a previous consent of the group (article 239, II part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code).
