The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Giorgi Mghebrishvili visited the five sectors of the MIA Border Police Office (Barisakho) at the Georgian State Border in Khevsureti to congratulate the local border guards with New Year and give them presents.
“Homeland begins with its borders and the Ministry of Interior does its best to make the border of Georgia as secure as possible, to transform the Border Police into the contemporary and modern agency and to provide each and every border guard with proper working conditions to duly fulfill their professional duties”, - declared the Minister Mghebrishvili when addressing the border guards.
The Minister of Internal Affairs also congratulated the locals of Khevsureti, in the village of Shatili. Giorgi Mghebrishvili visited the house of the Chincharauli family to personally congratulate 69- year-old Maro Chincharauli and 80-year-old Zviad Chincharauli, wish them a happy new year and deliver presents.
