The Minister of Internal Affairs held a field meeting in Batumi, Adjara. The meeting was attended by the First Deputy Minister, Heads of the Central Criminal Police Department and all regional police departments of Georgia.
At the joint meeting the Minister accepted the detailed information about the measures carried out in the regions of Georgia for combat and prevention organized crime.
Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, along with the heads of the police departments reviewed the priorities and gave new instructions regarding working process.
"Our goal is to gain more effective results in the fight against crime and implement high standards of security," - said the Minister and expressed his full support in combat crime to the heads of the departments.
After the meeting Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili visited the regional division of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA; he got familiarized with the employees’ working conditions and had a tour around the infrastructure.
