Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia had a meeting with Mr. Stephan Mayer, the member of German Bundestag and Spokesman for Home Affairs of the CDU/CSU parliamentary group.
Mr. Mayer highly welcomed the visit of the Minister of Internal Affairs to the Federal Lands of Germany and appreciated his decision to hold multilateral meetings with the representatives of the Government and the Parliament. "Your constructive approach to the problems, created by some of the citizens of Georgia in Germany is highly appreciated. I believe that Georgia will cooperate with our law enforcement agencies even more intensively and fruitfully "- the political spokesman of the Bundestag said.
For his part, Mr. Giorgi Mghebrishvili stressed the progress achieved in terms of integrated border management, illegal migration and the fight against organized crime as well as the success in the development of cooperation in law enforcement field.
The parties focused on the special role of the German Parliament in the process of signing legislative and other important documents and talked about the significance of strengthening of parliamentary relations between the countries.
