Racing with bicycles was held within the frames of the week dedicated to traffic safety under the slogan-“For the Sake of You and Your Safety” and within the frames of “Path to EU”. The event is held with the support of NATO and EU information center.
The aim of the bicycle race is to promote healthy lifestyle and raise the awareness of the society on the traffic safety topic. The race started in Vake district and ended on Freedom Square by passing and Tchavtchavadze and Rustaveli Avenues. Up to 200 amateurs took part in the event, including employees of various MIA Departments.
Organizers symbolically revealed six winners in six nominations who were awarded with accessories needed for bicycle riders and symbolic gifts of MIA made within the frames of the traffic safety social campaign.
