The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia - Vakhtang Gomelauri, on behalf of the Ministry, sent a letter of condolence to the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Police Major-General, Vahe Ghazaryan, over the tragedy that took place in Yerevan on August 14 of the current year, where he expressed deepest sorrow over the death of those killed and injured as a result of the explosion in the trade center "Surmalu".
Vakhtang Gomelauri expressed his support to his Armenian colleague, expressed condolences to the families of those who died as a result of the tragedy, and wished the affected citizens a swift recovery.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, please accept my deepest condolences over the powerful explosion occurred at the “Surmalu” trade center on August 14.
May I convey to You and the Armenian people my support and sympathy in this time of grief. I would like to express my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish swift recovery to all those injured citizens”- wrote Vakhtang Gomelauri.
