The Secretary of the National Security Council/ Minister of Internal Affairs - Vakhtang Gomelauri introduced the newly appointed head of the National Security Council’s Office - Levan Ghirsiashvili to the staff of the Security Council's office and wished him success in his new position. During the meeting, the current events and situation in Georgia were discussed within the competence of the National Security Council as well as future steps.
Levan Ghirsiashvili was appointed on the position of the head of the National Security Council’s Office by the order of the Prime Minister of Georgia - Irakli Kobakhidze.
Since August 2022 up to date, Levan Ghirsiashvili has been working as the advisor to the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia. In 2019 - 2022, he held the position of the first deputy head of the Emergency Situations Management Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In 2018 – 2019 years, Levan Ghirsiashvili was the senior adviser of the Georgian Embassy in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and in 2015 to 2017 – worked on the position of the deputy secretary of the State Security and Crisis Management Council.
