Secretary of the National Security Council, Minister of Internal Affairs, Vakhtang Gomelauri introduced the new Head of the Council’s Office, Givi Tumanishvili, and wished him success in his future activities.
At the meeting, directors of the departments of the National Security Council’s Office elaborated on the functions and responsibilities of the respective structural units and their main working directions.
Since 2019, Givi Tumanishvili has been serving as the Head of the Analytical Directorate at the Georgian Intelligence Service (GIS). Before his tenure at the GIS, he held various positions in the Military Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defence.
On February 11, Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Gharibashvili, appointed Givi Tumanishvili as the Head of the National Security Council's Office.
