The officers of Kakheti Police Department along with Adjara Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Security Service as a result of jointly held operative-search and investigative activities detained G.G. (DoB 1987) in Batumi on the charges of premeditated murder committed against two people under aggravating circumstances and illegal restriction of freedom of a minor.
The committed crime envisions from 16 to 20 years or lifetime imprisonment.
The investigation established that on February 10th of the current year, the argument took place at one of the farms located near to Kondoli village, Telavi municipality between detainee and a couple - G.J and M.Z. employed at the same farm. G.G. demanded cash from them and after being rejected, shot both victims from the hunting rifle.
Detainee had also illegally restricted freedom to the couple’s under-aged daughter, tied her with a rope and fled from the crime scene.
As a result of intensive operative and investigative police activities, law enforcers took G.G. under arrest.
The investigation is in progress under Articles 109 and 143 envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia.
