The Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Secretary of the National Security Council of Georgia - Vakhtang Gomelauri held a meeting with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Armenia - Armen Grigoryan. The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Giorgi Butkhuzi and the Head of the Office of the National Security Council of Georgia - Givi Tumanishvili.
The parties discussed ongoing events in the region and talked about the issues of existing security environment. Vakhtang Gomelauri and Armen Grigoryan addressed the significance of enhancing existing cooperation between respective agencies of the two countries in the field of security.
Within the framework of the meeting, importance of the peace and cooperation for the sustainable development of the South Caucasus region was highlighted, as well as existence of the regional dialogue for further developments in the fields of economy, trade, culture and other directions.
