The Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri held the meeting with the delegation of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe paying an official visit to Georgia.
At the meeting, the parties discussed ongoing and planned reforms in various directions in the Ministry. The attendees also discussed the achievements of the Ministry in the field of combating domestic violence and violence against women.
Vakhtang Gomelauri highlighted the implemented and current projects in the Ministry of Internal Affairs in cooperation with the Council of Europe, which play an important role in capacity building of the Ministry.
Within the framework of the visit, the members of the delegation of the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe are holding the meetings with the representatives of the legislative and executive bodies of Georgia.
