The Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Teimuraz Kupatadze held an introductory meeting with the Special Agent in Charge of the Middle East Region (MER) Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) of the US Department of Justice (DoJ) - Michael Rzepczynski.
Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the fruitful cooperation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the US Drug Enforcement Administration. Teimuraz Kupatadze informed the DEA representative about the activities and needs of the Department in such priority areas as drug trafficking, cybercrime and other serious transnational crimes.
At the end of the meeting, Teimuraz Kupatadze expressed gratitude to the US side for its generous support over the years.
The US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has been cooperating with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for many years by developing operational activities as well as enhancing technical capacities.
