The Strategic Facilities Protection Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center held the official ceremony of taking the military oath by 312 recruits. Special guests for the event were pupils and teachers from Tbilisi Public School N203 for deaf and weak hearing children.
The various types of weapons and equipment located at the territory of the Department were especially exhibited for the event and the children were explained the purpose of the equipment in sign language .The representatives of the Special and Emergency Measures Center provided comprehensive answers to the questions of the pupils.
Recruits will undergo their one-year compulsory military service at Strategic Facilities Protection Department of the MIA Special and Emergency Measures Center. They will study military subjects and acquire essential practical skills of professional soldiers. They will also participate in local sport contests and will be provided with free medical service and free nourishment. Servicemen will also have short-term vacation.
After taking the oath the recruits sang the national anthem and demonstrated their combat skills. The ceremony was attended by the Director in action of the Strategic Facilities Protection Department Police Colonel Nukri Loladze, as well as other representatives of the Department and authorities of the Special and Emergency Measures Center. The event was also attended by the families of the recruits. They had the opportunity to get familiarized with the facilities, where their children will undergo the compulsory military service. After the completion of compulsory military service they will have an opportunity to be employed at various MIA units in case of passing the relevant contest successfully.
