A working meeting was held on the issues of certification of the driving schools in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Davit Vardiashvili, Head of Service Agency of MIA - Nika Gelashvili, representatives of NGOs working in this direction and the Ministry of Education and Science.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the issue of passing the driving test in the real life situations and involvement of the driving schools in the process. Parties also reviewed the training programs in the driving schools and discussed the directions that will improve the quality of learning. According to the legislative amendments, a new, general standard will be created, on the basis of which the licensed driving school will be able to train the qualified driver.
Representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs also listened to the assessments of the NGOs and representatives of the driving schools. The guests got acquainted with innovative projects planned and implemented by MIA Service Agency in this direction. In was decided to create a special working group cover the issues driving school certification and passing the driving test in the real life situations.
