Today the Working Group Meeting was held in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia in order to discuss issues related to the implementation of Memorandum of Understanding on the Improvement of Effectiveness of Inter-agency Cooperation in the Law Enforcement Field. The Working Group is also tasked to plan and coordinate those measures, which relate to improvement of effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation in the law enforcement field and which derive from the obligations determined for Georgia within the frames of Visa liberalization Action Plan with EU.
Officials from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Ministry of Justice of Georgia, Chief Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, Ministry of Finance of Georgia and Financial Monitoring Service of Georgia took part in the Working Group Meeting. Parties discussed the current situation of inter-agency cooperation in law enforcement field and agreed the ways and mechanisms for its further improvement.
The meetings of the Working Group will be held on regular basis.
