Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia organized international workshop on “Joint International Law Enforcement Operations” in Holiday Inn Tbilisi with the support of Technical Assistance Information Exchange Instrument of the European Commission (TAIEX). Representatives of the Law Enforcement Agencies from Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, as well as EU Member states namely from Austria, Poland, Slovenia and Romania participated in the event. The aim of the workshop was to analyze the legal framework and operational tools for conducting joint operations in the fight against transnational organized crime. The parties exchanged their experiences in the field of International law enforcement cooperation, success stories, challenges and future plans of cooperation. During the event participants discussed the tools for exchange of the operative information on national and international level, cooperation with EUROPOL etc.
