The officers of Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti regional division of Central Criminal Police Department as a result of investigative activities held on the basis of operative information detained previously convicted for drug related crime, Lela L. (DoB 1974) in Poti for illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities.
During the personal search of the detainee policemen seized 1 package of the drug substance, whereas during the searching activities held in detainee’s house 10 more packages were detected. According to the results of expertise the drug substance weights 2,0872 gr and contains 0,87566 gr of heroin. Detainee has already pleaded guilty.
Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal purchase and keeping of drugs in large quantities, article 260, Ii part, sub-paragraph A of the Criminal Code.
