Employee of the MIA Strategic Pipelines Protection Department Shalva Bebiashvili took the 1st place at the European Power Sport Championship held in Istanbul, Turkey.
83 Athletes from 6 countries, including USA and Great Britain took part in the championship organized by International Power Sports Union.
Georgian Power Sports Athlete competed in 125kg weight category of the two most popular styles of powerlifting: bench press and deadlift and won two gold medals. Athlete lifted maximum weight-190 kg in the bench press and 265 kg in the deadlift.
Shalva Bebiashvili is a multiple winner of Georgian, European and World Championships.
