The sport club MIA Force of the Service Agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was visited by the delegation headed by Marcello Lotti, the Founder of the TCR International. The guests were hosted by Mr. Davit Vardiashvili, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and Mr. Dato Nikoleishvili, the Director of the Service Agency. The members of the delegation had a tour around the Service Agency and got acquainted with the work.
Mr. Marcello Lotti met the racer of the sport club of the Service Agency of MIA and the face of the road safety campaign of the MIA – Mr. Data Kajaia. Mr. Data is the first participant from Georgia participating in the World Touring Car Championship. At the meeting Mr. Marcello Lotti positively assessed the career of the Georgian racer and wished him success in future tournaments.
The Italian guests visited Rustavi International Raceway. The founder of the World Touring Car Championship got familiarized with the environment and infrastructure for hosting high-level tournament and received detailed information regarding the situation in Georgian autosport.
By the initiative of the founder of the TCR International one of the stages of the world championship’s next season may take place in Georgia. The negotiations about this issue are underway.
TCR International Championship was founded in 2015 and motordromes of the world different states host it throughout the year.
