MIA Border Police Coast Guard Department, Investigation-Operative Main Office personnel and Environment Control Department Black Sea Convention Group personnel on the base of joint activities, at N 5 mooring line, port of Poti on the fact sea pollution detained a dry-cargo ship “PACIFIC VICTOR“ sailing under Hong Kong flag.
Investigation started concerning captain of the vessel who is citizen of Russian Federation (according to the Criminal Code of Georgia, Article , Article 58, Part II) and was imposed Gel 65 000 fine and 1870 GEL for damage to the environment.. The vessel was allowed to sail unrestricted after her captain paid the imposed fine.
