Officers of Ajara Police Department and Rescuers of Emergency Situations Management Agency rescued 30 civilians stuck in heavy snowing on Goderdzi pass and recovered 7 vehicles from the snow debris.
On 25km of Batumi-Akhaltsikhe road sector mudflow has flooded three houses in Makhuntseti village. Rescuers evacuated 19 civilians including 4 children. During the last night rescue units of Ajara main division under the MIA Emergency Service were mobilized as well as the heavy machinery. Central road on Goderdzi pass is clean at the moment and traffic movement has been restored.
On Akhalkalaki-Ninotsminda road sector there is still strong storm and snow. MIA rescuers from Akhaltsikhe, Akhalkalaki and Ninotsminda units recovered the buss my means towing in vicinities of the Foka village. Driver and passenger are no longer in danger. One truck was also towed from the snow debris as well. Kutaisi division of Emergency Situations Management Agency has rendered help to the family affected by the natural disaster.
Operative Response Center 112 received information that one of the houses in Kutaisi had collapsed and part of the yard. Rescue service arrived at the place operatively and conduced clearing and rescue activities. Due to the incident no one was injured. Kutaisi division of Emergency Situations Management Agency have also assisted civilians on Ninosvili Street who were affected by the flooding, however no one got hurt. In Gori and Khashuri basements and yards were flooded due to the heavy raining. In Shida kartli , Ajara, Guria regions roofs, electric poles and trees collapsed. Rescue units are holding intensive activities at the moment.
