Ministry of Internal Affairs with the aim to ensure safety, regulates traffic movement in various regions of the country which was halted due to the heavy snowing.
OnSvaneti, Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili road sector the traffic movement for the transport with trailer and semi trailer and bus designated for transported more than 30 passengers. Movement of other means of transport is allowed at the moment.
On 206km of Tbilisi-senaki-Leselidze highway was damaged because the increased level of the Chkhara River. Due to the above mentioned Kutaisi main division of Patrtol Police Department has imposed certain restrictions: traffic movement moving from Kutaisi to the direction of Tbilisi will be moving on Terjola-Siqtarva bypass road, while the traffic moving from Tbilisi will be moving on Zestaponi, baghdati-Kutaisi route. On the menetioned road sector the traffic movement is alowd for all types of the transport means.
In Samtskhe-Javakheti region particularly on Tikmatazhi pass the traffic movement is blocked. Officers of the Samtskhe-Javakheti Police Department are mobilized at the site as well as heavy machinery. On Ninotssminda-Akhalkalaki road the traffic movement is permitted however due to the snowstorm the road from Ninotsminda to Tsalka is blocked.
On Goderdzi pass vehicles stuck in the snow are being recovered at the moment. At the place employees of Khulo police division of Ajara police Department are mobilized as well as representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development. Civilians are not in danger. At this moment one mini bus with 8 passengers is being recovered frorm the affected place as well as one vehicle along with the driver. In Khulo region and particularly on Goderdzi pass traffic momevemt for all types of the traffic is restricted. On the rest part of Ajara region traffic movement is permitted.
In Mtskheta region on Gudauri-Kobi road sector movement of the trailers and trucks is restricted while sedans will be movins only with special chains.
In Kakheti region particularly on Gombori pass the traffic movement is not restricted at the moment. Movement of all types of the transport means is allowed.
