On February 14, at Europe House, representatives of MIA Emergency Situations Management Department attended informational campaign –“Prevention of natural and technological catastrophes, readiness and reaction” organized within the frames of Eastern Europe Partnership program (PPRD East).
Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was actively involved in PPRD East program which has been implemented for four years. Aim of the program is to raise awareness among society in the field of catastrophe risk reduction and to hold various activities in this direction.
At the meeting the head of program presented the summarizing report to the assembled guests on activities held in order to raise awareness among public. Within the frames of program special video was presented on reduction of risks of catastrophes. Guests also received special guide books on emergencies and brochures.
The meeting was attended by representatives of media MIA Emergency Situations Management Department, Ministry of Education, “Red Cross” as well as several public school directors and representatives of “Save the Children”, “Uniceff” and other international organizations.
