The officers of Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have recovered another truck from the debris of the landslide which took place in Dariali gorge few days ago. As a result of road clearing activities rescuers detected parts of the truck and found the body of the driver supposedly. Due to the body injuries identification of the deceased person is impossible. Number plates of the recovered vehicle have been sent to the crises management staff. At this moment identification process of the dead person is underway. At this moment 6 people are presumed missing. Search and rescue activities are being held in order to find other missing persons.
As a result of search and rescue operation conducted by MIA Emergency Situations Management Department 1 truck and 1 tractor were found in the tunnel of Darialhes, while as a result of road clearing activities 5 more trucks were detected. During the clearing activities of the debris one truc was recovered from 15m depth.
Rescue and search operations will continue in Dariali gorge in round-the-clock regime.
