The officers of Rescue Training and Response Base of MIA Emergency Situations Management Department have assisted tourist with a leg fracture to ascent from the gorge located in Lentekhi region as a result of rescue operation.
MIA Emergency Situations Management Department received notification that Canadian tourist berg Methiu Vein (DoB 1984) fell into the gorge near the village Tvidi, Lentekhi region and was in need of the rescuers’ assistance.
Rescue team of MIA Emergency Situations Management Department has departed to the place of incident right away with a helicopter. Rescuers have rendered first aid assistance to the injured person at the place of incident. MIA officers ascended Canadian tourist from the gorge with a stretcher and transported him to Lentekhi, where he was transferred to the regional hospital by the ambulance. At this moment his health condition is satisfactory.
