Rescuers of Emergency Situations Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs rescued two Latvian tourists who were caught in the heavy snow.
Emergency Response Center “112” received report according to which two Latvian tourists were unable to continue route at Jvari Pass due to the heavy snowing and asked for help.
Rescuers team of Emergency Situations Management Department immediately departed to the place of incident; however, rescuers were unable to reach the place because of bad weather conditions.
Rescuers had mobile contact with tourists and were informed that their state of health was satisfactory. Tourists had a tent and waited for the rescue team. By the end of the day rescuers managed to conduct successful operation and took Latvian tourists to the safer place.
