Social campaign launched by the Ministry of Internal Affairs- “For the Sake of You and Safety” was joined by the municipality workers, artists, students and school children. With the support of the local municipalities up to 20 the so called zebra crossings were painted in various cities of the country.
With the support of the Batumi city hall school pupils painted the zebra crossing near to Era Square while another zebra crossing was painted by Batumi State University on Rustaveli and Gamsakhurdia street crossings.
Near to the Akhaltsikhe central park zebra crossing was painted with the support of patrol police and local school of art.
In Gori 2 zebra crossings were painted by the local school students while another crossing was painted in Telavi by Elene Akhvlediani school of arts.
Within the frames of the campaign 3 zebra crossings were painted in Kutaisi, 4 in Zugdidi and Poti, 1 in Mtskheta, 2 in Rustavi and 1 in Ozurgeti.
On the zebra crossing slogans and logos of the social campaign were painted as well as other figures.
The aim of the campaign is to prevent road accidents and raise the awareness of public in the field of traffic safety.
