30 employee of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA received basic mountain trainings in Gudauri. Winter 3-week training was held on the basis of cooperation between the Ministries of Internal Affairs and Defense.
The representatives of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA, with the assistance of the instructors of Colonel Besik Kutateladze Sachkhere Mountain Training School learned to move on a difficult, snow and mountainous terrain, overnight in severe weather conditions, arrange the shelters and snow-house “Iglu”. The participants also received training in search-detection of the people in critical situations captured by the avalanche and evacuation of injured on stretcher; they also acquired ski professional skills.
After completion of training courses the representatives of the Special Tasks Department of the MIA were awarded the certificates.
